It's a Primitive Planet

Is it a typical rant in cyberspace or a special place for the sensitive and downtrodden waiting to break free from the constraints of a primitive planet and its inhabitants? Who knows? [Who cares? I hear you cry.] Self-indulgence will be our watchword. Hyperbole our native tongue!

Another day on a backward rock?

When the exterminator shows up and tells you there is no residual cure for silverfish and to buy a can of aerosol bug spray to kill them on sight, is that a cop-out or ignorance?

A quick trip to the web for research and it's clear that some strategically placed boric acid crystals should do the trick. A jaunt to the grocery store and lo and behold - Harris Famous Roach Tablets, Original Formula with Added Lure. Not only available but made just a hundred miles up the road in Jacksonville, Florida, and available for a pittance of $3.95. You can get your own at:

www.pfharris.com

and eliminate your silverfish, too. They're also good for roaches and waterbugs.

It's fitting that silverfish should be plaguing me since they are one of the most primitive forms of insect on this most primitive of planets. It's not surprising the exterminator didn't know what she was talking about. Doubtless, she's a minimum wage slave trapped in a subsistence existence with no future. Or maybe I'm being too hard on her? It's hard to be objective when little, trilobite-looking bugs are racing around [and probably eating] your framed prints. The little devils love paper, book binding, paste, and various starches.

Meanwhile, we'll see if the Added Lure draws the buggers out for a quick and dessicating munch on the boric acid tablets. I'm not going to get any help from the folks at Pest Control.

Is it winning or is it whining?

In a political sense, what's the difference? One man's rhetoric is another's righteousness.

When Rodney King asked, "Can't we all just get along?" was he being disingenuous or playing to the camera?

I'm sick of the Democrats and the Republicans. As for Nader, is he noble or nuts?

The lies aren't half as bad as the half-truths, in my humble opinion. So George skated during the Viet Nam era. So did most everyone else who could. So what? The primitives get caught up in the rah-rah and never look past the obvious for the truth.

I think it can be simplified to 3-D for President Bush. You can find them here:

http://www.bush3d.org

and make up your own mind [presuming you still have one].

Otherwise, I stand by my premise: It's a Primitive Planet.

Are we going to do anything about it?
